17 choirs | 18 locations | 18 hours
Choir Clock was a new vocal project that premiered in Cardiff to mark the final weekend of Festival of Voice.
Developed by international contemporary music producers Serious, this celebration of the voice featured 17 vocal groups and choirs in different locations across the city, with performances which took place in a different space every hour, on the hour.
This event aimed to take people on a journey in pursuit of a trail of voices, discovering unusual parts of the city and hearing those new, varied and distinct voices along the way.
With a line-up of both professional and amateur groups evoking the local area and community, the first ever Choir Clock came to a close at midnight. Selected choirs from the day’s programme then joined forces for a mass midnight performance at Wales Millennium Centre orchestrated by Craig Yates from Only Men Aloud.
