Creative Learning

Creative Learning is the team that are driving arts engagement with young people and families at the Centre and beyond.

Experiencing art and participating in a cultural activity is proven to positively impact children, young people and families. It can be transformational – raising self-belief, aspiration, wellbeing and employability.

Through experiencing and participating in arts and culture, we want to nurture the talents of those held back by disadvantage and vulnerability and provide self-belief, hope and opportunities to move forward.

We work with many inspiring partners including Valleys Kids, Voices from Care, Media Academy Cardiff and The Fostering Network to name but a few. And our creative learning programme in 2018 and onward will see a focus on two major goals – developing young people’s skills for life and core skills for work – through cultural engagement.

Over the coming months, we will be bringing you news about projects, developing programmes, opportunities to get involved and how to support us. We'd love to hear from you.

Last year’s projects around Festival of Voice were Radio Platfform, Choir Clock, Land of Song and Wales 1000.
